Welcome to the Compassion Corsicana House, a transitional home for women and their children.

The Compassion House provides a safe faith-based environment for displaced women and
their children. Our goal is to help women become self-sufficient as they transition into permanent housing. At times, we are faced with challenging circumstances in life. We offer the hope found in in Philippians 4:13 which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

The Compassion House, formerly known as the House of Refuge, was founded in 1985 as a Christian ministry by Wes and Liz Haefs. The house was opened to serve unwed mothers and battered women. Today, we support displaced women and their children, while helping them reach their goals of self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
